Accountant

Switchcraft, a manufacturer of small electronic components, located on the NW side of Chicago, is seeking an analytical person for financial accounting and special projects in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, dedicated, and a leader by example. Duties will also include budgeting, forecasting, and analysis. We need a month-end contributor; from consolidating financial statements to journal entry preparation and review. We’re looking for someone willing to learn and succeed!

Requirements

Requires BS in Accounting or Finance
2-3 years experience.

Requires strong PC skills, especially with Excel.
CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE

Switchcraft® is a U.S. manufacturer of connectors, jacks, plugs, molded cable assemblies, patchbays, and switches. Our products are used in a wide variety of industries including medical, GPS, process control, transportation, homeland security, broadcast and pro audio. We currently have an opening for an experienced Customer Service representative at our Chicago office.



The Customer Service Representative is responsible for providing service and support to distributors, OEM customers and outside sales force. The position involves heavy phone and e-mail contact with customers. This individual interfaces with manufacturing, operations, engineering, and accounting in order to provide the highest level of service. Responsibilities of the position include quoting, order processing, expediting and some technical support. Technical/electronic background a plus



Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years customer service experience in manufacturing environment

The ability to handle multiple incoming calls and e-mails

The ability to multi-task and prioritize their work and time

Excellent Communication Skills both verbal and written

Excellent computer skills, Windows and Internet

MOLD MAKER

Switchcraft® is a U.S. manufacturer of connectors, jacks, plugs, molded cable assemblies, patchbays, and switches. Our products are used in a wide variety of industries including medical, GPS, process control, transportation, homeland security, broadcast and pro audio. We are located on the northwest side of Chicago and currently have an opening for Mold Makers. Responsibilities include building molds and fixtures as determined by engineering, quality and production standards. Must have ability to work from blueprints, sketches, models, or other descriptions to determine which machines need to be used to fabricate parts. Must be proficient in the set up and operation of machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, EDM, grinders, etc. In addition, the Mold Maker must be experienced in working with precision and close tolerance molds and have experience with troubleshooting molds.

MAINTENANCE MECHANIC

Switchcraft® is a U.S. manufacturer of connectors, jacks, plugs, molded cable assemblies, patchbays, and switches. Our products are used in a wide variety of industries including medical, GPS, process control, transportation, homeland security, broadcast and pro audio. We are conveniently located on the northwest side of Chicago.
Switchcraft is currently looking for a Maintenance Mechanic. This position is responsible for the maintenance and repair of manual, semi-automatic and fully automated production equipment using hand tools, power tools, and precision-measuring and testing instruments. Candidate must have the ability to set up and operate lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts. Position requires both mechanical aptitude and electrical experience. We are looking for an individual who will be a self starter and be able to work with minimal supervision and adhere to safety rules.

Molding Foreperson

Molding Foreperson

Switchcraft® is a U.S. manufacturer of connectors, jacks, plugs, molded cable assemblies, patchbays, and switches. Our products are used in a wide variety of industries including medical, GPS, process control, transportation, homeland security, broadcast and pro audio. We are conveniently located on the northwest side of Chicago and are currently looking for a Molding Foreman for our injection molding and over molding operations.
Responsibilities
• Manage molding operations and train employees on set-up and production
 Injection Molding Department (4 employees)
 Over Molding Department (15 employees)
• Maintain inventory and production schedules based on Planning Department’s requirements.
• Lead or assist with setups of molds in all machines as needed and troubleshoot quality issues related to setup
• Work with Maintenance Department on preventative maintenance of machines as well as coordinating any repairs to equipment.
• Work with Engineering and Tool Room Designers on new product mold designs and on in house/customer quality issues with molded components
• Identify any new equipment needs

Requirements
 Minimum 5 years in a supervisory role in molding operations
 Familiarity with injection molding preferred
 Excellent communication skills
 High school graduation required, College education preferred

Production Planner

We are looking for an entry level Planner to join our Inventory Control team at our Chicago manufacturing facility. With over 8000 finished products and over 25,000 components used annually, this position requires a dynamic individual with a talent for organizing information and coordinating production schedules.

Responsibilities
• Learn and operate a Microsoft Dynamics NAV enterprise planning system
• Plan the supply of components and finished goods to meet forecasted and sales demand
• Work closely with production departments to carry out the supply plan
• Recognize production limitations and constraints and adjust plans accordingly
• Participate in physical inventory taking annually
• Respond to MRP system planning suggestions daily
• Work with sales department to schedule and commit ship dates for finished goods
• Work with purchasing department to organize supply of components
.Review demand annually and adjust forecast and planning parameters accordingly
Requirements
• High school graduation or GED or equivalent required
• Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Previous experience in a production-related environment preferred
• Knowledge of ERP or similar planning system preferred
• Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
• English language skills required
• Ability to work on computer systems for long periods
